MEET OUR TEAM
This award‑winning designer is proud to celebrate 23 years in business, serving both the building industry and private clientele in the San Antonio area. After earning her degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas A&M University, Karen discovered her true passion for interior design and went on to pursue further education at St. Mary’s University.
Her career has spanned multiple facets of the design world—starting at a local design firm, managing the design center of a prestigious homebuilder, and ultimately founding KD Interiors, where she serves as owner and lead designer.

Karen is an Allied ASID member and an active member of the Greater San Antonio Builders Association (GSABA), which also grants her membership in the Texas Association of Builders (TAB) and the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). This involvement not only reflects her deep connection to the local and national building communities, but also helps strengthen relationships with builder partners.
She remains committed to delivering thoughtful, functional design with exceptional customer service.
Originally from Illinois, Michaela has spent over 6 years in operations and project coordination. She moved to Austin in 2016 and values collaborative teamwork. Her role is helping KDI designers coordinate with vendors, peers, and clients to achieve excellent project outcomes from inception to completion.
Shelly grew up in Waco, TX and discovered a passion for design early on. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design from the University of North Texas. Beginning her career in restaurant design, construction, and project management, her love of home and family led her to residential design and KD Interiors. She enjoys creating comfortable, inviting, and timeless spaces for families.
Kelsey was born and raised in Seguin, Texas, and after graduating high school, moved to San Antonio to pursue interior design. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design from the University of Texas at San Antonio. She is passionate about the building selection process and loves seeing projects come to life from start to finish. She thrives on customer service and ensuring client visions exceed expectations.
Fernanda brings over a decade of experience in interior design and home remodeling to KDI. After studying at The Art Institute of San Antonio, she started in retail before moving into custom home construction and remodeling. She has designed projects ranging from small-scale commercial spaces to large custom homes (up to 5,500 sq. ft.). Known for her passion, she strives to build long-term relationships with clients and vendors. When she's not designing, you might find her painting, drawing, cooking, hiking, or volunteering with therapeutic horsemanship for people with disabilities.
Analicia is a seasoned interior designer based in San Antonio, Texas. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Interior Environmental Design from the University of the Incarnate Word and has been transforming residential spaces since 2013. Driven by a passion for creating beautiful, personalized environments, she specializes in furnishings, lighting, and custom residential design. Her expertise allows her to craft timeless, unique spaces reflecting her clients’ individuality. Through a keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence, Analicia consistently adapts to new design trends to keep her work fresh and modern.
Designer who believes a beautiful home should do more than look good; it should feel good to live in. With a degree in design from Virginia Tech and over ten years of experience, she’s worked on everything from cozy kitchen makeovers to full-scale senior living community expansions. Her love for design sparked in childhood, redesigning her own room countless times. Today, her passion is crafting spaces that not only reflect her clients’ style but also promote comfort, wellness, and ease in daily life. Every detail is chosen with intention, balancing beauty and purpose. When she’s not designing, you’ll find Samantha on her yoga mat, lost in a good book, or spending time with family or friends over coffee.
